Positions we need to fill quickly

Symphony volunteers

None of us has ever run the business side of a symphony orchestra.  Our skills were picked up in other lines of work.

Systems consulting  ● Naval intelligence ●  Computer technology coordination  ● Hospital public relations  ● Financial client services ●  Washington lobbying ● Missionary air transportation ●  Software management ●  Musician ●  Homemaking ● School board service ●  Newspaper publishing ●  Airline marketing ●  Corporate education  ● Software sales  ● University professor ● Tradeshow booth design ● College administration  ● Teaching ●  Accounting  ● Photo intelligence ● Paralegal  ● Engineering ●  Singing ● Small business ● Restaurant management ●  Banking ● Project management  ● Retail marketing

But we make the business and social side of the Symphony run smoothly.  And have a good time doing it.

Your skills can make us even better. Consider getting involved with the Symphony Guild.

Volunteer opportunities

The Lewisville Lake Symphony has two sides. Our music is created by talented paid professional musicians who earn their living by creating and performing music.

The business side is operated by the Lewisville Lake Symphony Guild, an all volunteer organization.  It's the Guild that staffs the box office, raises money, and does all the big and small jobs that make a season successful.  And its volunteers have a good time in the process.

Says one activist: ‘Classical music is important to me and I believe is a necessary addition to our community life. I am devoted to aiding the Symphony in bringing classical and choral music to our area. In addition, I meet and work with some wonderful people. They appreciate my abilities as much as I appreciate theirs, and we have a lot of fun together.’

The Guild's operations are run by Action Teams and each team has an Action Leader.  If you are interested in joining one of the Action Teams or even just helping out when we need a few extra hands please let us know.   The reward is in the music.
