Volunteers go to Sulfur Springs, Texas, to hear Nikita Fitenko

Nitika
Fitenko is a long time favorite of the Symphony and has performed in
both the Symphony Series and the International Series. He recently
gave a concert for students in the Sulfur Springs ISD and some
volunteers decided to drive down to hear the concert. They did what every
Sulfur Springs visitor does and got themselves
photographed in front of the town's major landmark.

Chef cooks five course meal for music fans
The Lake Symphony recently held a fundraising gourmet cooking
demonstration for friends of the orchestra. Chef Jason Vickery cooked
an elaborate meal while providing a commentary with élan equal to Emeril
Lagasse
Some of the less kitchen-oriented spouses found, with considerable
relief, that the Symphony was sponsoring a satisfying five course dinner
and not delicate samples of five courses -- their experience at some
other such events. ‘A sixth course would definitely have been pushing
it,’ noted one contented donor who also commented very favorably on the
wines Chef Vickery chose for each of the courses.
