Nancy Wright
2006 Symphony Angel
All of the arts groups represented by the The
Greater Lewisville Arts Council need volunteers to
thrive. Annually, each group
honors an outstanding volunteer who has given time and talent
generously with an Angel award.
Nancy Wright was one of the early
musicians in the Lewisville Lake Symphony orchestra and remains an
energetic, long term member of the Symphony Guild, the volunteer team
that runs the day-to-day business side of the organization. She has
served as President of the Guild and, this season was elected to the
Board of Directors. The Board, knowing business-skills when they see
them, promptly elected her Vice Chair.
Nancy is a ‘can do’ person. She is
very organized and during her tenure as President of the Symphony Guild
guided the guild toward a more structured organization. She came to
meetings prepared and kept everyone on track. Lyn Cleghorn, now
President of the Guild says “working with Nancy is a rewarding
experience, she always has a smile and as busy as she is, always has
time to answer questions or come up with a plan. Nancy Wright is a
dedicated volunteer for the Symphony and truly deserves to be the
symphony’s “Angel of the Year”
